I had two freshman, the first one was Andres Tito, who i found really cool (he plays the drums). Right away i could tell he was skaterish, because of his clothes and long hair. I was hoping that he would be outgoing and would listen to my advice. He was outgoin, and already had alot of freinds. However, he didn't belive the things I told him. For example I told him that by his senior year he'll change a lot and grow up, and he didn't belive me. He kept on insisting that he won't change, that he likes the way he is right now, that he won't grow up. And he wouldn't belive me!! I also gave him advice, hoping that he wouldn't make the same mistakes that I made. I told him to take at least one AP in junior year, because that could help himout a lot when he applies to college. I also told him that the 4 years will go by so fast you won't even realize that it went by. He didn't belive me either, he's very stubborn.
The second freshman i had was Maggie, who was less outgoing then Andres. She was cool, but she had less frinds then Andres. The only reason she went to this school is becasue her mom put it on the list, and now she wnats to transfer out. I gave her examples of people who haed the school and then learned to love it. And i told her to join some clubs or do some extra ciricular activities, beacsue that's how i met all my freinds. She seemed interested in that, but i think she sorta gave up on the school, and really wants to transfer out.

HW- 10/6/08
The liberal/democratic blog that I looked up was http://www.democraticgovernors.org/blog. It was very clear and precise, and easy to navigate. Some of the posts were funny especially "You know you're in trouble when you're asking George Bush for help". It was very detailed and focused on various issues. The consercative/republican blog that i looked up was http://theliberalslies.blogspot.com/. This blog was very appealing because it had a lot of videos and posts. It was updated frequently, and had interesting points.
The two blogs were very similair, in the way they were run. They were both updated frequently, had some funny posts, and dealt with current problems. However, the layout was completely different, and both blogs were biased. It was clear which candidate they were rooting for and what they stood for. Both blogs made fun of the other candidate.

My Vote - 10/6/08

If i had to choose one candidate to be president, today, this minute, I would choose Obama. I like a lot of his opinons on various subjects. For example, the War in Iraq, abortion, and gay rights. I don't support McCain in making a draft. Many people our age (17-18) don't realize that they are the ones that are going to be darfted. They are the ones that are going to have to go to Iraq and fight in a War(that in my opinion we are fighting for no reason). During the Palin, Biden debate, Palin kepted on talking about "fighting the war on terror". How are you supposed to fight a war on terror? There's always going to be people that hate ceratin countries and the ideals they stand for. How are you supposed to convince them not to be terrorists? By killing their entire family? I don't think that is the best way to solve this problem. I mostly based my vote on the War in Iraq, and that might be a bad thing, but I think it's currently the most important problem in our society. However, I don't like the way Obama handles certain situations. During the first debate he was getting really annoyed and he looked like he was about to slam a textbook on the podium and tell McCain to shut up. He needs to take some anger managment and speech classes if he wants to become president.
